The 25-hectare plant is located in Calumpang Village, Mabalacat City within the Freeport, the solar plant is a joint venture between the Sindicatum Renewable Energy Company (SREC); Armstrong Asser Management, a Singapore-based private equity company; and Mabalacat Solar Philippines, Inc. (MSPI), a Philippine owned company.
SCHEMA designed the electrical and mechanical works, the plant and overall solar, procure local plant, and deliver to site, licenses and permits, site management, installation, SCADA systems, testing and commission and carry out the complete works.
SCHEMA worked directly with the main stakeholders, including the Department of Energy (DOE) assisting it the development of a Power Development Plan for 2008-2030.
