Improvement and modernization of an adequate drainage system to prevent flooding in the airport’s runway and to avoid hydroplaning during aircraft takeoff and landing.
Four (4) major waterways traverse the project area, all discharging into the Parañaque River (Dilalin Creek, Maricaban Creek, Cut Cut Creek, and Dongalo Creek). Flood occurrences in the project area come from outlying areas and clogged/obstructed major waterways due to siltation and encroachment causing stagnant water that endangers flooding the surface of the runway that may cause hydroplaning of aircraft.
