The objective of this project is to improve the Mindanao Section of the Pan-Philippine Highway through rehabilitation. This section formerly called Maharlika Highway) has a total road length of 403 kilometers from Lipata, Surigao City to Davao City. The Mindanao Section Rehabilitation Phase II cover 156 kilometers and comprises Contract Package I located in the provinces of Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, Contract Package II in Agusan del Sur and Contract Package III in Compostela Valley and Davao del Norte.
The work includes the removal and replacement of deteriorated PCCP, appropriate drainage systems, retrofit and reconstruction of bridges, slope protection works, provision of pavement markings, road signs, guardrails and other appurtenances.
